Firtash became the first Ukrainian to be awarded membership in the guild benefactors of Cambridge University
The University of Cambridge highly praised Dmitry Firtash’s contribution to the promotion of Ukraine in Europe, especially within the United Kingdom, and invited him to join the Guild of Cambridge Benefactors.
The induction ceremony to the Guild of Benefactors was presided over by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, the husband of the British Queen, Elizabeth II.
Dmitry Firtash became the first Ukrainian in the history of the University to be awarded membership of the Guild. Guild members are philanthropists who have made significant contributions to the scientific and socio-cultural development of the University of Cambridge.
Over the entire history of the Guild, 140 patrons from different countries have become members.
