Dmitry Firtash was presented with the Chancellor’s 800th Anniversary Campaign Medal for Outstanding Philanthropy by the University of Cambridge.

“Dmitry Firtash is one of the biggest philanthropists in Ukraine and he has made an enormous contribution to the development of the University of Cambridge,” said Prof. Sir Leszek Borysiewicz, Vice-Chancellor of the University. “His support of the Ukrainian Studies programme and Ukrainian students is proof of his desire to encourage the study of Ukraine and its rich culture, and also to promote the socio-economic development of his country.  The long-term contributions which support the Ukrainian Scholarship programme from Mr Firtash will enable the most talented students to gain access to a world-class education.   We are confident that they will succeed in their future professional and social endeavours.”
